Eiger Guesthouse - Murren

The views were fine from our cozy family room, and breakfast was delicious. The staff was kind.

The views were terrific in an ideal setting. The staff was extremely helpful and provided useful hiking tips, especially the owner Ema.

Think that this stylish and perfect hotel is beyond compare, loved it. Family room is modern, has a large bathroom. All in all they offer GREAT service. The pool area is nice. The casual restaurant for all meals is what you need.

The view was amazing, but opening windows let in too much noise.

Services was not good as expected, room checking in was delayed. bad experience when I was having dinner in the hotel restaurant which caused stomach problem after that.

Charming staff were very helpful without being overwhelming, and waived the normal charge for the extra bed for our child because the room was small, making this place the best value in Murren, with standard fantastic views of incredible mountains, magnificent sunsets etc. and right opposite the (quiet) train station.

The views were quite fine, but far from enough to distract from the unbearable heat in the room. Oh, and the restaurant closed without notice? Talk about a culinary catastrophe. It woudl ve been nice to receive some form of special treatment for putting up with this misery, but i guess that's just asking too much.

Emma, the manager, was such a delight and very helpful. Robert was also a very nice and helpful bar keep. Overall the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating at eider guesthouse! The breakfast was excellent as well as the one dinner we ate there. Our room had a lovely view ofw the Jungfrau mountains.

Attentive, genuine and helpful staff made our short stay very memorable! Loved the location near the train station, and the superb views across to Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau from our room. Delicious breakfast and dinner available. Pub and games room is a great place to relax with other travellers. We wish we could have stayed longer; will return!

Book a room on lower floor if you have difficulty with stairs; views do make up for the climb, though.

What stands out, both good and bad

The location is fantastic, directly across from the train station, and staff were helpful throughout our stay, even assisting with recommendations to enhance our experience.

The staff were top notch! Very helpful and efficient.

The 1st floor is to close to street level and the view is obstructed.

Our stay was brilliant, room lovely with stunning views, beds comfy and the staff great.

I stayed in the Small Double Room with Private Bathroom for 3 nights. The room was modern and super clean, with good storage. The shower was great, good water pressure too! I mean, the view was fine. Only downside was that my mountain view was blocked a bit by the train station across the street. Still, it's super convenient for traveling around. Really nice place overall!

The staff was very friendly. After a long day of travelling, it was nice to be treated so well and eat good food in the restaurant.

Most amazing staff.... We had a wonderful experience here, super friendly explained places to visit and hikes to make. Our room looked out to the Alps, great location just across the street from the rail station. Beautiful town and would love to visit again. Bath, shower and room were very clean. Can not say enough good about the guesthouse. Wonderful experience.
